Thinkplus Semiconductor Boosts Launch of OnePlus Buds Z2 with Complete Power Management System

On October 13, 2021, OnePlus grandly launched the next-generation product Buds Z2, true wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation. Buds Z2 has seven new functions, which can provide brand-new experiences such as 38 hours lasting battery life, 40dB active noise reduction and 3-microphone AI call noise reduction. The power management products of Thinkplus Semiconductor used in Buds Z2 include SY8702, SY8801 and SY5500. SY8702 is a cost-effective port OVP device, using DC36V absolute maximum input voltage and as low as 28mΩ drain-source on-state resistance (Ron), with rapid overvoltage protection characteristics, is an ideal choice for consumer electronics port protection devices. SY8801 is a highly integrated power management SoC for TWS cradle, which integrates rich and efficient functions such as switch charging, load detection and intelligent communication for earbuds. Therefore, it is a classic product for cradle design and application favored by many brand customers. SY5500 is an intelligent PMIC designed by Thinkplus Semiconductor for the application of TWS earbuds. It can provide functions such as fast charging, intelligent communication and interaction, automatic resetting of crash, and power saving in hiber state for TWS earbuds. It is worth emphasizing that the IC size (1.6×1.6mm) developed by Thinkplus Semiconductor greatly saves the design space of power management for earbuds.
